Hey there, neighbors. 

Tucked away under the Perkins Road overpass in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Kalurah Street Grill strives to provide a dining experience with the utmost attention to detail. Our modern-American menu combines unique, regional and international flavors, innovative cooking techniques, and a contemporary twist to prepare a mealtime experience. 

Executive chef, Kelley McCann, brings his more than 10 years of award-winning experience to Kalurah Street Grill in hopes of offering a thoughtful, intentional, mouth watering menu to the Baton Rouge area. Kelley has a history of creating different types of cuisines by combining many styles of cooking, distinctive ingredients and techniques to create truly unique dishes. 

Kalurah Street Grill is set in a storied Baton Rouge building — the former home to the Colonel’s Club and Chelsea’s Café. Originally constructed in the early 1930s, the iconic landmark is a staple of the Garden District and we feel right at home in such a sweet neighborhood.  

Kalurah Street Grill offers a casual, one-of-a-kind dining experience. We invite you to become part of the neighborhood by experiencing a new kind of dining experience. 

What's in a name? 

Kalurah Street Grill faces a small road that inspired our name, Kalurah Street. Interesting part is, our physical address is actually 2857 Perkins Road.

Kelley McCann

Executive Chef

Kelley brings 10+ years of award-winning experience to K Street in hopes of offering a thoughtful, intentional, mouth watering menu to our area. He has a history of creating different types of cuisines by combining many styles of cooking, distinctive ingredients and techniques to create truly unique dishes. 

Blake Hernandez

General Manager

Blake is passionate about service and creating the ultimate dining experience. Bringing more than 12 years of experience to the K Street team, Blake has worked in the hospitality industry throughout the country including Asheville, Charleston, Seattle and Salem, OR. He can also create a killer cocktail.

Theresa Langlois

Events & Catering Director

Theresa adds dynamic leadership and a knack for event planning to Two Twenty-Two Events - the business family encompassing Kalurah Street Grill, Ivar's, The River Room and Kalurah Catering. Theresa's in-depth industry knowledge paired with years of experience helps her plan top-notch events.

Chelsey L. Blankenship

MARKETING DIRECTOR 

Chelsey's first passion is communications. Her second is food. Put them together and you'll have a tasty combination. Bringing her experience in marketing, advertising and digital strategy to the K Street team, Chelsey works to grow the brand and share Chef Kelley's unique menu with the world.

Chad Hughes 

OWNER 

Chad is an entrepreneur in every sense of the word. After owning and operating Ivar's Sports Bar for four years and co-owning the River Room, the opportunity to add something new to the Historic Merchant's District was something he could not pass up. Creating a fun, hip place to eat delicious food or grab a drink with friends...or both, is something Chad is passionate about.

Brad Watts

OWNER

Brad has decades of experience in the restaurant and bar industry. From the beginning, his vision for the nearly 7,000-square-foot space that is now K Street has been to create something different, fun and memorable for patrons. Brad also owns the River Room downtown.
