Kelley McCann’s modern American menu offers something unique to the Historic Merchant’s District
Tonight, award-winning chef, Kelley McCann, will debut the menu he has been working on for years when Kalurah Street Grill opens its doors under the Perkins Road overpass. Kalurah Street Grill – affectionately called “K St.” – has a modern American menu that will excite the taste buds of diners. The historic Baton Rouge landmark features a restaurant and lounge that have been completely renovated with exposed brick walls, private dining rooms, fully stocked bars, local art and much more.
“So much thought went into every detail of the space and it is very different than it was before,” said owner, Chad Hughes. “We are really looking forward to being a part of the neighborhood and hope our guests feel that when they visit us.”
K St. opens Friday, January 6 for dinner from 5 – 10 p.m. with the lounge staying open until 2 a.m. Its regular hours are Monday 5-10 p.m., Tuesday-Friday 11 a.m.-10 p.m., Saturday 5-10 p.m., and Sunday brunch 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m. The K St. lounge is open daily 4 p.m.-until.
McCann’s menu is heartfully crafted with personality ensuring that no matter what dish patrons order, it is guaranteed to be authentic and delicious. K St. will feature items like red snapper and shrimp ceviche, grilled hangar steak, seared duck breasts, and much more.
“Our modern American menu gives homage to the melting pot that’s not only Louisiana, but America as a whole,” said McCann.
“We are looking forward to a great first weekend open and showing Baton Rouge what we have to offer,” said owner, Brad Watts.
