Blake Hernandez brings more than 12 years of experience to the K Street family

Kalurah Street Grill, a modern American restaurant under the Perkins Road overpass, announced the addition of Blake Hernandez as General Manager.

Hernandez brings more than 12 years of experience in the restaurant industry to Kalurah Street Grill. A New Orleans native and graduate of Louisiana State University, Blake has opened and managed restaurants in Asheville, Charleston, Seattle, Salem, Oregon, and, of course, Baton Rouge.

Most recently of Galatoire’s Bistro, Hernandez is looking forward to bringing a fresh perspective to Kalurah Street Grill while enhancing operations and getting the opportunity to work alongside Executive Chef Kelley McCann once again. His addition to the K Street team comes at an opportune time.

“You really won’t find two bigger advocates for the Galatoire’s restaurant family than Kelley and I,” says Hernandez. “I’m looking forward to the opportunity to impact and influence the Kalurah Street Grill dining experience so early on in the restaurant’s life.”

"We are eager to welcome Blake to the K Street family,” says Brad Watts, co-owner of Kalurah Street Grill. "He is a true representation of our brand and we are confident he will bring the highest level of service to everyone that walks through our doors.”
